“𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝚠𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚛𝚎. 𝚄𝚜𝚎 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎. 𝙳𝚘 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚌𝚊𝚗.“ - 𝙰𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚞𝚛 𝙰𝚜𝚑𝚎 🌻
I’m trying to make it a habit to create on a regular basis but often I find myself unable to produce anything, or rather, I’m just not in the mood to... But i should at least 𝙩𝙧𝙮.
I believe it can be something as simple as just putting yourself in a “posture” to create that can make all the difference in your creative process.
I was in a funk (literally) and I just didn’t want to be bothered with life.. but i remembered that “𝙸𝚏 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚜, 𝚗𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚜“ (heard that in a movie once. Life changing.).
You can’t form a new habit by doing nothing. So i got up! I showered, washed my face, created a bit of a ‘spa experience’ in the comfort of my own bathroom, got dressed, and put on a little eyeliner and lip balm!
When you care for yourself on the outside, even just a little, it can lift your spirits on the inside. Or at least, it’s a start. :)
I had a mocha backdrop and i decided to take a few photos in front of it using the natural light from my window. After reviewing some of the images I’d taken, I wasn’t satisfied with the results so I decided to use the Adobe Fresco app on my tablet to add a little flare and it took a seemingly decent photo and transformed it into something a little more ‘alive’ and kind of cool! It’s nothing extravagant but I’m super
proud of what came of it! I tried! And that’s all that matters.
