Donica here! My ultimate goal is to capture life’s light, through God’s people, places and things, and share it with the world through my lens.

I started my photo journey back in 2009, working for a portrait studio in the mall. Soon after that chapter in my life, I started doing freelance work for personal events and small businesses, while still pursuing my degree in Graphic Communications from University of Maryland University College. After failed attempts in several other career fields, I realized that photography was something I truly wanted to pursue full-time. Hence, D.S.Payne Photography + Design was born! Created in love and purpose, capturing a moment in time, no matter how grand or seemingly small, is all I desire.

I like to consider myself a Life Enthusiast! Outside of photography, I enjoy time with family and friends, crafting, dancing, drinking tea, long walks on the beach and connecting with people and different cultures!
